The Ability First Day Center is the premier Adult Day Center for seniors and adults with disabilities in the Albuquerque, NM area. It’s a special place they can go to spend the day participating in a range of activities designed to engage and stimulate them.

With more than 2,500 square feet, there are endless options of activities for your loved ones to choose from. Residents of our Ability First Supported lIving Homes have the added benefit of access to the Day Center as part of their program if they should choose.

So whether they want to play a round of basketball, work on their computer skills, take an art class or watch a movie in the theater room, there is always something enjoyable for them to do.

Gym and Fitness

The Adult Day Center’s fitness room offers a full line of high-end fitness equipment from treadmills to free weights. This is the perfect place for special Olympians to engage in health and fitness goals.

Equipment includes a treadmill, recumbent bike, strength equipment and a NordicTrack Vault, an interactive, 60-inch tall smart fitness mirror.

Yoga and fitness classes are also offered, providing a comprehensive range of available workout options for your loved one.

For sports lovers, a basketball court will be added soon.

Day Center Classes

Ongoing education and training for the adults in our care is a top priority. The Day Center has a variety of classes for your loved one to choose from.

Outings in the Community

The Ability First Day Center offers plenty to choose from, but the activities don’t end there. We offer a variety of opportunities to go out into the community on excursions.

Some activity options to choose from might include a trip to the bowling alley, a shopping trip or a visit to the museum. Other community outings might include a relaxing day of yoga in the park

There is always something fun to do.

Day Center Location and Transportation

At Ability First, we are committed to promoting autonomy, independence, and community inclusion while maintaining safety, compliance, and professional excellence.

Hours: Daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Transportation to and from the center is provided by Ability First.
